The Porcelain Veneers Procedure

After your dental examination is done, options are discussed, and veneers are determined to be the best way to go, two visits are required.

1. Dr. Quigless will prepare your teeth for the veneers, removing a very small amount of enamel to make space. He will then take digital photographs and measurements and create a mold for our dental lab to follow in crafting your veneers. There is usually no need for any temporary veneers in the period before your second visit.
2. Dr. Quigless will clean and dry the teeth to be veneered and temporarily attach your new veneers. You can see them in the hand mirror. He will test your bite and fine-tune any shaping needed for the veneers to fit well. When you and he are both satisfied he will bond them permanently to your teeth.
